Now in my lab, there is a 15 voltage battery, I am wondering if it's possible to use this.

I want to run the fit-pc2 from a 15V power supply (not a battery). You indicate that 15V is OK but near the limit - can you let me know how much room I have so I can specify the power supply. Do the capacitors break down at 15.1V, 16V or 24V? I'm a bit nervous about running from 15V without this tolerance - or do you recommend running from 12V if at all possible?

Tip from crazy Swedish inventor:
To make my stationary 22" 12.0V screen usable in my car, without killing any capacitors I used normal 3Amper diodes.
The voltage drop is around 0.6V per diode, so in my case 2 diodes needed, to get
Voltage within 10% of that specified, i number i was comfortable with, in that case.
(Only using screen with engine turned off! More complex protection components would otherwise be needed.)
So if you are close to maximum voltage, add a few diodes and you will be fine
