I am putting a fit-pc2 into a robotic observatory. I have a 128GB SSD and the temperature in the winter will be at -20 to -30 C. Any problems that you know of?

http://www.fit-pc.com/web/fit-pc2/fit-p ... fications/ says
0 – 45 deg C with hard disk
0 – 70 deg C with SSD
Whether it will really croak when the temperature goes sub-zero I have no idea but I would be cautious in your proposed application.

Can you insulate and/or heat the fit-PC2? What connections does the fit-PC2 need with external devices?

While we cannot guarantee operation outside designated temperature range, the actual temperature of fit-PC2 when operating is about 15C above ambient. Low temperatures should be less of a problem if continuous power supply and operation is guaranteed.
