From what I saw, if I ordered Fit-PC2 through an EU distributor, I'd pay at least 20% more (without postage) than what I paid by ordering directly (with postage and import duties included). I'd have preferred to order from within EU, but not at these prices.

hi ender, in general you are right, most eu distributiors have slightly higher prices as if you'd order directly. this is because of the additional cost involved. warranty reasons (most of european countries force the seller to have two years not one year) and eu regulations stuff like weee is one reason of this. think of which additional cost you'd have if you have an RMA case, you'd need to send it to isreal if there is a problem. if you buying from a eu distributor they are doing it for you. also you have local support in your local language. you need to decide if this exta value is worth the money or not.

I recently ordered direct from fit-pc2 (I have found Amazon.com quite annoying). Why does it take 4 weeks lead time? If I ordered mid June, when should I actually expect to take receipt of the machines?

I can't wait until mine arrives.

I'm in the US.

Thanks.

Lead time is long since the demand is bigger than supply.

I ordered a Fit PC and am excited!

I wasn't able to find any order policies on the website. I need to know the order cancellation policy, return policy, product warranty, etc.

Where can I find this information?

With respect to lead time and the overall process, do you build everything in-house, or have a third-party company put everything together?

Do you have a cache of pre-built boards/systems, or do you obtain a batch of orders and build the systems as needed?

What kind of quality control does each system go through before being shipped out? Is each system tested, or randomly selected ones?

Inquiring minds want to know.

Thanks.

Manufacturing takes place in-house and with qualified manufacturers using the same QC procedures.

Each fit-PC2 is tested on several levels before being shipped - AOI, board functional test, assembled system functional test.

We are trying to build a stock to improve lead time - so far demand is too high to allow us to achieve that.
