Hey guys I was just wondering, you know the latch piece that you take off when u want to remove the hard drive from the fit pc, I was wondering what if we kept that latch off, wouldnt that allow better heat circulation as Im sure some heat would be able to escape from within the body making things cooler? The latch shouldnt be that effective towards the whole passive cooling thing since its just a small piece but you never know it might be. Anyone care to shed light ont he subject...and also, what about taking of the latch and put a fan there...wouldnt that be an additional alternative to putting a heatsink?

Unlike a conventional PC, fit-PC2 does not have to be cooled from the inside - but from the outside. All major heat sources are thermally coupled to the case.

If you consider a fan - just place it to blow on the top cover. You can easily gain 10C with a light airflow.

Oh okay thank you irads. Also, would it be better to go with the fan or the heatsink?

The heatsink can reduce temp by 5-7C. Fan can do more.
