Issue with NVMe SSD and Simcom SIM8202G-M2 Modem in FLT3 Device

Post by Alexander DECKER »

Hello everyone,

I have encountered an issue with my FLT3 device when using the Simcom SIM8202G-M2 5G modem in the B-Key slot. When the modem is installed alongside an NVMe SSD, the SSD is no longer recognized, and the system boots directly into the BIOS. Within the BIOS, no drives are listed under the NVMe settings.
I also tested a Cinterion MV31-W USB modem in the same slot, and it works without any problems, with the SSD being recognized correctly.

Could this issue be related to the pinning of the modem causing a conflict on the PCI bus?
Any insights or solutions would be greatly appreciated.

More system information:
- FLT3 with Simcom SIM8202G-M2 5G modem in B-Key slot
- NVMe SSD installed (Swissbit 160GB,N-36m2)
- BIOS Version: FLT3.TPM.01.00
- BIOS Release Date: 04/11/2024

We strongly recommend to use the standard way - writing mail to our support box: support@fit-pc.com
