As Windows 7 has gone RTM and as off today are available on Microsoft MSDN and Technet

The versions that will be available are:

Windows 7 (x86)
- Starter
- Home Basic
- Home Premium
- Professional
- Enterprise

Windows 7 (x64)
- Home Premium
- Professional
- Enterprise

Which version of Windows 7 does the manufacturer recommend to run on the 1.1Ghz and the 1.6Ghz fit-PC2?

Thank you for the answer.

I'm currently running Windows 7 Professional and no problems sofar.
I did had to disable the Audio in the BIOS inorder to install Windows 7.

After Windows 7 was installed, I enabled the Audio and the machine was up and running.

I must say that this is sort of like asking, "What is your favorite shade of green?"

Aside from the 32/64 bit part, aren't the Windows 7 versions essentially the same?

I have installed W7 Professional okay. My only problem is I have to leave the AUDIO disabled or system wont boot. I notice others said to enable audio after install. Didnt help me. If I cant resolve this, I will probably put Ubuntu back on ( I figure if W7 has audio issue then XP will too).

I was too quick to complain. Found post here that said to clear config data in BIOS. I did and sound is there....

you can use a windows seven ultimate or another version in 32bit, with virtual xp ;)

no audio problem here, item gma 500 pilots in windows update are the best i can use (compare to xp and vista pilots with compatibility or intel pilots)
