USB ports remain on in Shutdown

Hello,

We're running Windows 10 Enterprise LTSB on a bunch of fitlet2 PCs. When putting the computer into shutdown we would like the USB ports to turn off (power down). Unfortunately, both the USB 2 and USB 3 ports all remain on when in shutdown.

In Windows we have tried the following:
disabled Fast Boot
disabled USB selective suspend
disabled PCI Link Power Management
powercfg -h off

In BIOS we have tried the following:
disabled the power on timer
toggled OS type to Linux (just in case)

Can anyone report that they have the USB ports turning off when the computer is shut down? Or are they hardwired directly to power and there isn't anything to be done about it?

Thanks!

I just thought to check for a BIOS update and I see in the release notes that the latest BIOS release includes "USB power control in S5". That looks very promising and i'll get started on a BIOS update to see if that solves the issues.

Reporting back.

I've installed the latest BIOS update, which does indeed include a setting called "USB Power in S5". I've enabled and disabled the setting, and the USB ports still show 5 Volts regardless of how it is set. Further, I've verified the computer is in S5 by observing the power button LED as yellow (as defined in the BIOS).

Any ideas?

Thanks!
