I'm unclear on how to use a 2.5" SSD/HDD with fitlet2.

I initially read about the possibility of using a 2.5" SSD/HDD in an article at Anandtech from 2017 [1] where it says ".... as well as 2.5” SATA storage solutions.".
I see similar information from e.g. a distributor [2], and in [3], when specifying a build-to-order fitlet2, there's the storage option HD0:
"2.5″ HDD/SSD adapter [HD0] - Includes bottom cover with 2.5" HDD compartment"

So it seems like it should be doable, but I am not clear on how.
All I found in the owner's manual [5] was page 5 that mentions "Optional 2.5” HDD | SSD", and in the list of features on the previous page, a footnote that says "Feature may require an extension FACET card".

My specific question is therefore: If I were to buy a barebone from Amazon [4], what additional parts / modules / cabling etc do I need to buy in order to be able to install a 2.5" SSD?

The fitlet2 doesn't mechanically support an 2.5" drive by default.
Compulab developed a deep bottom cover for the fitlet2, extending the length of the machine by 15mm, and providing a special M.2 to SATA adapter to plug the 2.5" to it.
It is then when the drive is screwed the the bottom cover and serve as an alternative storage device.

HD0 option include both the deep bottom cover and adapter in which the customer can source the 2.5" himself for manual installation.

I didn't find the adapter at fit-iot.com though.

Is it possible to buy the adapter and the deep bottom cover through e.g. Amazon?

In my case that'd result in both shorter delivery time and lower cost.

What's a typical build time? I'm assuming that the six weeks mentioned on the build-to-order page are for when a component is missing.
