- To have on hardware and lower switch, and then less failure
- Have better performance (not dual route resolution, intel card, co CPU crypto)
- Have SDN (software defined network, cf: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Software- ... networking)
- All security tools (firewall, sniff)
