What is the expected life-time for the built in battery in fitlet?

We discovered that voltage dropped to 2.48V for one of our units and the Clock was no longer correct.

When disconnected from power fitlet battery might discharge in under a year.
For unattended systems it is advised to install a fresh battery before deployment and keep fitlet connected to power.
