Hi,

I am using an external Seagate 500GB USB3 disk on my MintBox Mini (LinxMint 17.3). However, when the MIntBox is off, the disk is still spinning and its led is on. Is this normal behaviour? Is there a way to shut down the USB disk, when the MintBox Mini is shut down?

Please check other USB ports by connecting the drive to them and entering sleep mode (S3). Some ports designed to keep USB power during sleep state.

Two back panel ports: On during S0, Off during S3-S5

Front panel ports: On during S0-S5

Combo port (not on MintBox mini): On during S0 only
