USB ports not working

Post by babashi »

I just received the IPC2 today and installed windows 7 pro 64bit, everything works fine when I install drivers downloaded from fitpc wiki, but once i installed the USB3 driver, all the USB ports stop working when entered windows. I went into safe mode to uninstall the USB3 driver and every works again (usb ports working, but slow 22mb per sec, and i'm using usb3.0 hard drive)
Help please

in addition, how can I install ME driver as it only contained MEI and SOL files and no install exe

Regarding ME drivers - you should enter the device manager, locate the yellow bang marks, right click and install drivers. Then you will have to browse for the drivers location on the PC (many drivers installed that way).

As for the USB3, I would recommend to uninstall USB3 drivers, download it specifically again and reinstall. There is no reason why it should not work.

I re-downloaded both drivers (USB3 +ME) and placed them on desktop, went to device manager and "update driver software" with "browse my computer for driver software" with location "C:\Users\XX\Desktop", only the USB 3.0 was successfully installed (all usb ports are working now :D ). However, ME was not installed, but there ain't any yellow or question mark on device manager, is that mean ME driver is not needed?

Maybe not, but let's wait for an answer from the Windows engineer that will respond here.
