Digital TV tuner

Post by pint »

Has anybody tried it with USB Digital TV tuner? Would it handle mpeg4 HD decompression (I assume it would, as it handles 1080p playback)?

Thank you

I'm looking into at running MythTV on mine and have decided to go with the Asus 3100 mini tuners which have Linux support.

Sorry to resurect such an ancient thread, but now freeview HD (1080p and 1080i apparently) is launching around the UK I'd really like to know if an HD usb tuner will work too. I'm sticking with windows for this one I'm afraid.

AFAIK the uk will be using the DVB-T2 standard (mpeg4 AVC H.264?)

Surley there's some htpc genius around here.
