How can I run headless under Windows 7? The GMA500 driver doesn't work and IEGD is not available for Win 7.

Try uninstalling the display driver.
The default VESA driver should boot headless.

Yes but only with a very low screen resolution which is no good.

.. what's the problem when you are running headless anyway? Connection to terminal server (or vnc or what you want to use...) should not be limited by this.

When working with Win7 headless, remote desktop is independent of local resolution so you should be able to work without the GMA500 driver.
