I think we all know Linux and the Intel GMA 500 adapter are not good friends, and it seems that Ubuntu 8.04 out of box just works with the F2PC2 GMA500, but what if we want to upgrade, or use other UNIX variants?
Anyone have experience with using a USB to VGA/DVI adapter with the F2PC2? That is, more than simple email? Maybe streaming a/v via youtube and/or hulu?
Thanks.

USB to VGA/DVI video adapter?
Re: USB to VGA/DVI video adapter?
Hi Scott,
We have quite extensive experience of using the USB-VGA/DVI adaptors in the UK, and unfortunately video performance is not good due to the dual processing that is requires to show the video through the USB graphics card - first the GPU processing and then the processing required to send the information through the USB port.
Unfortunately Fit PC2 cannot carry out both in real-time to a satisfactory level, so the USB-VGA/DVI adaptor is not a viable option if you want to watch video on a VGA monitor from Fit PC2.
The best option for that currently is the HD Fury - you can use the standard model, which retails for about £50 in the UK and around $55 in the US.
Hope that helps.
