Windows XP Vs Windows 7

Is there anyone out there that has tried both and can list the pros and cons, as in how much faster does xp run than window s (if noticeable and by how much etc). Thanks

I have run both and like 7 better. It seems to use less resources (memory) during operation, plus you have more options on 7 to turn off and on. It just seems alot more customizeable than XP did. Also I have noticed it seems to have a better and smoother fonts and a clearer picture all together.

Windows 7 works pretty well with Aero turned off. 1080P playback also works great using DXVA under Windows 7.

Can you tell me which specifications you have? I'm thinking of getting the 1.6GHz/1GB model but I'm not sure what it'll be able to do video-wise even with DXVA.
Also for anyone who knows, has Win7 video playback performance overtaken the old XP k-lite/PowerDVD solution?
