Re: fit-PC3 Block Diagram

Re: Boot forever - Your disk drives are being checked for er
There seems to be a lot of chatter about this behaviour so I doubt that it is anything to do with the file system on my particular fitPC but I will boot from another disk and fsck the original root disk and then boot from the original disk. (Because the boot time fsck is every X boots or every Y day...

Re: Won't boot after package update
That will back up the entire disk though? So I would need a spare disk that is bigger than the root disk? And it would take much longer than it needed to? (There was a reason why I asked about backing up the entire file system .) I suppose that the problem with backing up the file system is that the...

Re: Corrupt graphics and UI dead [SOLVED-ish]

Re: Won't boot after package update
This has happened again )-: )-: - on a different fit-PC2i, with different disk configuration. Mint Linux wanted to install 450 or so updates. I let it. After all updates, the system wouldn't boot. I suspect that there is an update in the stream of updates for Mint Linux to which the fit-PC2i is alle...

Re: Unknown signal during boot
In case it helps, in the Monitor section, I only added the modes. I didn't change any existing setting and I didn't add any other settings that were displayed by parse-edid. What were the modes listed for your TV? What mode do you want to use? What is the model of your TV? I don't think that you are...

Maybe you are experiencing the same problem as I did. Have a read of

and see whether it seems similar.

Re: Corrupt graphics and UI dead
Yes, my oversight. Seems to be stable now. Perhaps changing the Visual Effects should be moved into the installation steps, rather than being left in the "Known Issues". Is any work being done to fix the underlying problem(s)? I'm sure the product would look better - and give a better first impressi...

Re: Boot forever - Your disk drives are being checked for er
There is nothing wrong with the file system. Linux just likes to check the file system after every X boots(?). This is a good thing - as a precautionary measure. I know that I can boot a live CD and check the root file system that way - but that is not convenient and is quite slow to boot up (and it...

Corrupt graphics and UI dead [SOLVED-ish]
Within minutes of starting to use the fit-PC, after login, the display of one or more windows becomes "corrupt" and soon after it is no longer possible to click on anything. The mouse moves around the screen correctly but left or right mouse click does nothing. (The PC is not completely hung. I can ...
