Hi,
- Does the installer work on other machines?
- Have you tried another USB port? USB2 instead of USB3?

Re: Has anyone upgraded to 17.3?
Hi, You can make fresh 17.3 install like described in our wiki: http://www.fit-pc.com/wiki/index.php/Fitlet:_Installing_Linux_Mint_17.3 Important note: - Automatic upgrade from 17.2 to 17.3 will crash fglrx drivers The correct way is: - Uninstall fglrx drivers first - Make automatic upgrade to 17.3 ...

Re: Sound and resolution
Hi didier,
You need follow all instructions, including "Downgrade xserver-xorg to 1.9 version" section. Did you created xorg.1.9.pref and xorg.1.9.list files?
Regarding audio issues, please add to /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf:
options snd-hda-intel position_fix=3
This can possibly help

Re: MintBox Mini freezes on Suspend-to-RAM
Hi Bart,
Just tested our default installation
http://www.fit-pc.com/wiki/index.php/Fi ... ux_Mint_17
Unit goes to suspend state after Menu->Quit->Suspend, and wakes up correctly after pressing key on the keyboard.
My BIOS version is SBCFLT_0.08.04 2015.06.27

Re: Serial port issue
We have nether encountered with serial port issues on ipc (mintbox 2). To be sure it's a hardware or software problem please try
- last recent kernel available for your distro, may be it includes relevant patches
- another baudrate, may be it's related somehow
- try on windows7

Re: irq xx: nobody cared (try booting with the "irqpoll" opt
Try to boot LiveUSB with LinuxMint17.1 and compare mouse behaviour and performance to your Debian 8 installation.
I personally didn't encounter such issues, so may be it's related to Debian 8 only.
