Why not use a USB-stick for booting and installing?
Recommend balenaEtcher (both Linux and Windows) for flashing USB-stick from ISO.

What if let it start up with a Live-USB with Linux Mint and just let it be running för 24 hour? Or let say 3x freeze time.

By e-mail with support we ended up with that it is the USB-hub not working well.
A cheap one without external power supply and my HDD is also without external power supply.
If problems still occur, over time, without using hub - I for sure come back

MBM2 Pro. Second (right) USB3-port have an USB3-hub connected. To this hub, two separate HDD with USB3-interface works fine as well as a hardware key.
