Re: USB2 port becomes useless when I use the USB3 port.

.. As soon as I disconnect the USB Flash drive, my mouse works fine. It seems like the power in the USB 2 is dramatically reduced to send a strong enough signal to my mouse. ... One thing I did with my fitlet-H, (the larger chassis version of the fitlet-iA10), is to buy a 6" USB 3 extension cable. ...

Re: Marine usage?

In theory, you could install it in a sealed, water proof case. However, the fitlet-T can use a lot more power than the other models. (Of course, fitlet-Ts are faster too). So more power, means more heat. If you can come up with a sealed, water proof case that can disapate heat, then that might work ...

Re: Cannot boot

The fitlet series does not support M.2 SSDs, only mSATA. I am guessing mSATA is
what you used. If not, that could be one problem.

Next, what is the make, model, and speed of your RAM module?

Re: High (1.5V) voltage DDR support

Some of the Kingston RAM is dual voltage. Meaning it will work at 1.5 volts and 1.35 volts. All 3 of my Kingston RAM, (in SO-DIMM form facter), are such. See this thread; http://www.fit-pc.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=151&t=5627 It is likely that true 1.5 volt only memory will not work with fitlet mode...

Re: Reducing Power Consumption

Depending on performance needs, you could experiment with disabling a CPU
core or 2 in the BIOS. The AMD A10 Micro-6700T has 4 cores, but many tasks
only need that many for short periods of time. Thus, those tasks would take
longer. Yet overall power usage may go down.

Re: fitlet xa10-lan pfsense hangs

I have installed and played with pfSense 2.3 on my fitlet-iA10. It seemed to install fine. Just need the time to learn pfSense. What I think you did wrong, is downloaded the serial port console version. Not the video console version. Whence the boot process got to a certain port, it appears to have ...

Re: does AirTop S support Remote Management like HP iLO?

No, none of the AirTop support something like HP iLO, BMC, (Baseband Management Controller), LOM, (Light's Out Management), or IPMI, (Intelligent Platform Management Interface). Based on my own prior searches, (not too extensive), no low power, reduced foot print computers have this feature. Ever si...

Re: Power over ethernet ( POE ) option?

Both devices you list may not be standardized IEEE PoE. The switch mentions 24 volt, in addition to 48 volt, though it may beable to do IEEE PoE. The spliter mentions 130 watts and use of all 8 wires. Standard IEEE PoE is 48 volt, and either 12 watt or 25 watt. Plus, use only 4 wires. Most of the fi...

Re: Gentoo Linux

This fitlet-H is continuing to work great as a media server. Updates performed once a month are installed without problems. But even if I experience problems the ZFS alternate boot environments would allow me to back out my change in a simple reboot. The addition of a fit Uptime battery makes it mor...
