Hello,
My fit-PC2i has a slack joint at the power socket.
Where/how can I get this repaired?
Many thanks in advance!

Re: IDE and SATA to USB adapter
As I'm still struggling with this issue, I tried again the following previously recommended commands with the following output, which is now different from before: With "sudo fdisk -l" the HDD connected via USB is listed as "/dev/sdb". "mount /dev/sdb/mnt/usbdisk" "mount: can't find /dev/sdb/mnt/usb...

Re: Linux Mint 9 is officially supported
Another question, which I maybe should have asked in the first place:
Are this thread and these instructions also valid for the fit-PC2i (revision 1.1)?
I'm still having problems especially with the inconsistent often very slow and stalling and/or stopping(?) downloads through the browser.

Re: IDE and SATA to USB adapter
No, that was another issue. The OS didn't operate smoothly, audio was not working and I couldn't get 16:9 resolution. For that I never got the help I needed, thus I was never able to solve it. That's why I installed Mint 9 - and because I didn't want to install the recommended Ubuntu server edition....

Re: How to install the BIOS update on Ubuntu
Sorry, my error. It's not "Save Image", and it's not a button. It reads "Select Image" on the top of the window, which pops up after clicking on the button next to "Write Image".

Re: How to install the BIOS update on Ubuntu
It reads "Ubuntu ImageWriter" (which I got via the Software Manager), as recommended at http://www.fit-pc2.com/wiki/index.php?title=BIOS_Update and https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Installation/FromImgFiles. I was able to create a bootable Mint 9 installation with the Ubuntu 10.04 OS before. It jus...

Re: How to install the BIOS update on Ubuntu
With "UNZIP" you mean "Extract Here"? I have extracted "bios_update.zip", so its "128MBDOS.IMG" is in my "Desktop" as well. The same goes for "100422_fit-pc2i_1GB.zip" and its "DEVEL34X.ROM". When I go on the Image Writer to "Write Image" > "Save Image" and click to open the "Desktop", it only shows...

Re: How to install the BIOS update on Ubuntu
I was writing about "bios_update.zip" and "100422_fit-pc2i_1GB.zip". I have saved them in "Desktop". When I go on the Image Writer to "Write Image" > "Save Image" and click to open the "Desktop", it only shows a "Video" folder which I keep there as well, but not the "Update" files, nor "128MBDOS.IMG...

Re: IDE and SATA to USB adapter
Thanks for the hint! Looks like it takes again hours to figure out how this works. Actually I'm just using the stationary SSD at the moment. Aren't these supposed to be more durable than the HDDs? But anyway, still the same problem, can't open (mount) any other HDD, including the one I connected ins...
