We just found this Dell driver for the RTL8723AE that does work. Problem solved!

We are experiencing this same problem, with a fresh Win 7 64 install and the Realtek RTL8723AE PCIe card. Realtek does not list that model number on their website, or offer any drivers for it. The problem happens with multiple base units and multiple PCIe cards.
The stated input voltage range for the Intense PC Pro is Unregulated 10 – 15VDC input. We have a customer who's right at 14.9V input. Is that a problem? What's the tolerance on the 10-15VDC?

I needed to first install the PulseAudio Volume Control application from Ubuntu's Software Center. Launched the application, went to the Configuration tab and selected "Analog Stereo Duplex". Audio now works! However, when I go to system settings, the audio reverts to digital output and stops workin...
