Infrared receiver

Hi, My Intense PC seems to have an IR receiver, because if I point an IR sender on it and press some buttons, the LED on the Intense PC flickers. Below this LED on the Intense PC there seems to be an IR receiver... How can I use it? I don't see any USB device in the OS which is an IR receiver. Thank...
