Re: Mint Box 2 memory errors with 8GB+ installed
I thought I'd follow up with my experience. I ordered a Corsair 16GB kit that was certified to work with the MintBox 2 by CompuLab (PN: CT2CP102464BF1339). I installed the memory and it works just as expected. The temperature of the memory actually exceeded that of all the other brands I had tried d...

Re: Mint Box 2 memory errors with 8GB+ installed
Okay, thanks irads. I will purchase memory that has been certified compatible and see how it performs.irads wrote:I am sorry to hear MintBox 2 does not work with the memories you have. We can be quite confident after the replacement that there is no hardware fault in the specific unit you have.

Re: Mint Box 2 memory errors with 8GB+ installed
Hi irads, First and foremost, thanks for handling this issue so well. CompuLab staff have been incredibly helpful in coordinating the replacement. Sadly, the replacement unit suffers from the same issue. I have only tested with a 1.5V, 1333MHz kit (the PSD316G1333SK), and there has only been one DIM...

Re: Mint Box 2 memory errors with 8GB+ installed
excl. the incompatible DDR3L irads, on the list of certified modules there is a DDR3L module. The Crucial is rated for 1.35V (DDR3L). JEDEC specifies that all DDR3L-capable modules must be compatible with DDR3 memory controllers (see JEDEC Standard No. 79-3-1A.01). Since the Crucial module is DDR3L...

Re: Mint Box 2 memory errors with 8GB+ installed
CompuLab, please advise me on where I can apply to return my MintBox 2 and receive a refund. I purchased the MintBox 2 for its advertised support of 16GB of memory. In summary: CompuLab specifications for MintBox 2 stating support for up to 16GB DDR3 1333/1600MHz RAM CompuLab representative indicati...

Re: Mint Box 2 memory errors with 8GB+ installed
Here's the memtest output. As you can see there appears to be a problem with 8GB DIMMs where bits are flipped during memory operations. This behaviour is consistent across multiple memory modules from different manufacturers. G.SKILL Ripjaws F3-1600C9S-8GRSL: http://i.imgur.com/4UDyUjf.jpg Patriot S...

Re: Known issues with dual channel memory mode?
supz, did the RMA resolve your issue? I'm experiencing the same behaviour with my MintBox 2.
