Re: CentOS7 and Samsung 850 Pro SSD?

I have now bought an IPC2 i5 with a Samsung 850 Pro SSD and I have installed CentOS 7 - it is running great and I get +500MB/sec read/write on large files. I had no problems installing the OS (no special tweaks or alike).

Howto disable WIFI and bluetooth?

To save power, how can I disable WIFI and bluetooth? I don't see any options for it in BIOS?

If I install CentOS7 on a IPC2 with a Samsung 850 Pro SSD is there then anything special I need to install on the Linux system for optimal performance or is everything handled by the SSD firmware (trim etc)?

CentOS and MySQL

I am planning on buying an Intense PC i7 Pro with 16GB RAM and a Samsung 128GB 840 Pro SSD for my CentOS 6 and MySQL 5.6 (or MariaDB or Percona - not sure yet).

Can this even run and can the setup be any better? I have heard that Samsung SSDs performs poorly on Linux?

Best SSD for Linux (CentOS)

I have heard that Samsung 840 Pro performs really bad on Linux, so what is currently the best (aprox) 120-200GB SSD drive for Linux CentOS?
