Boot from, OS on micro SD ?
I am considering buying a fitPC4 to run a dedicated audio server. My audio server is now a fitPC3 running Debian from the internal SSD drive. All audio data is stored on an external SSD drive. The question is whether, with the fitPC4, it would be possible / advisable to install Debian on a micro SD ...

Re: S/PDIF audio cable
I have done some further tests and my conclusion is that the 3.5mm S/PDIF output of my fit-pc3 works flawlessly with 16 and 24 bit, 44.1, 48, 96, 176.4 and 192 kHz files but NOT with 24 bit 88.2 kHz ! Files in this format (no matter whether FLAC or WAV) exhibit severe aliasing problems when played t...

S/PDIF audio cable
What kind of cable is needed to connect the 3,5mm S/PDIF output port to a DAC ?
The standard cable supplied with the fit-pc3 works with a Naim DAC but, for instance, the Oehlbach NF 113 Digital, 75 Ohms HF impedance does not seem work with the same device !

Re: Intel miniPCI-e WiFi cards not working
Problem solved ! Comparing the output of "rfkill list" on the fit-PC3 and on my laptop suggested that no bluetooth interface was active. "lsmod | grep btusb" confirmed that the bluetooth modules were not loaded. At this point I realized that I had a "/etc/modprobe.d/tuning-blacklist.conf" with the s...

Re: Intel miniPCI-e WiFi cards not working
I'll try loading the iwlwifi module with bt_coex_active=N and report. Right, it seems (just one test passed so far) that loading the iwlwifi module with bt_coex_active=N prevents the RF_KILL and network disconnection. Unfortunately, this also significantly degrades wireless bandwidth, particularly ...

Re: Intel miniPCI-e WiFi cards not working
Unfortunately I have no idea :( Right, I was just wandering if bluetooth could be responsible for the RF_KILL. I used to disable bluetooth via BIOS but I have noticed that in the new BIOS there is no option for disabling bluetooth ... I'll try loading the iwlwifi module with bt_coex_active=N and re...

Re: Intel miniPCI-e WiFi cards not working
The new BIOS with WiFi fix has been released for fit-PC3 (v. SBCFP3_2.1.0.333_14) http://www.fit-pc.com/wiki/index.php/Fit-PC3_BIOS_Update Thanks for the update. I have received a new fit-PC3 on Monday 10.02.14 from CompuLab (thanks again to all people involved in processing my RMA for their ready ...

[Solved] Re: Intel miniPCI-e WiFi cards not working
This issue was fixed with a BIOS upgrade. The BIOS version CompuLab provided hasn't been released at the Wiki page yet, but we can confirm that we have N 6235 working on fit-PC3. That's conforting ! Unfortunately the original Realtek network interface is in many respects disappointing, nice to know...

[Solved] fit-PC3 does not boot with Centrino Advanced-N 6235
I have replaced the (not so Linux-friendly) Realtek Wifi/BT card with an Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6235 card. After replacing the card, the fit-PC3 does not boot anymore. I can access the BIOS menu but after exiting the BIOS menu nothing happens. I have switched back to the Realtek card and the fit-...
