Re: Does XP version come with the right HD video drivers?

If I wait for Windows to sleep, then press the power button to turn it back on, the Windows login screen comes on, then after about 10 seconds, it goes black for about 5 seconds, comes back on, and repeats this a few times and then stays on for longer. But it carries on going black occassionally, ma...

Re: Does XP version come with the right HD video drivers?

We are having a 2nd problem with the display: Using a 15" LCD panel, with DVI input at 1024x768, the display occassionally blanks out. The distributor says that they are aware of this, they think it is a driver problem & are trying to get updated Windows XP drivers for it. I will wait to hear what t...

Re: Does XP version come with the right HD video drivers?

The very first time you start it up you have to start XP in VGA mode so that you can then change XP to 1920x1080, which is what I did. So both the TV & the PC are in 1920x1080 mode, but the margins are cut off - the picture is bigger than the TV screen (not smaller). I had the same problem on my des...

Does XP version come with the right HD video drivers?

I got mine today (1.6GHz, 1GB RAM, XP Home SP3, 160GB hard disk) & used it with a 1024x768 LCD monitor & it worked perfectly for standard PC applications and low-res video. I then plugged it into a Sony full HD TV HDMI input and set it for 1920x1080. The first problem is that the screen dimentions a...

Re: VGA output

Adding $75 to use VGA seems pointless. Hopefully DVI monitors will come back into fashion. I have a 5 year old 15 inch Philips 150P with DVI that was cheap at the time. Now only the bigger more expensive monitors have DVI. There are chip companies making LCD panel driver chips with VGA, DVI & HDMI i...

SDHC, normal or micro sized package

The Fit-PC2 is great as is. I'd like to see these in a future version: Normal or micro SD package: the mini sized packages seem to be less common that the micro and standard SD packages. SDHC will be much more useful than standard SD. Of course you could jump straight to SDXC. Also: genuine SATA 2 i...

Re: VGA output

Nope. ekips was right: the cheap adaptors just wire the analog output from a DVI-A or DVI-I adaptor. The Fit-PC2 has DVI-D, i.e. no analog output. There are adaptors that actually convert the digital signal to VGA, but these are very expensive. The solution is to find a cheap VGA monitor that has DV...

Re: SATA/PATA

Will a future version have a native SATA-2 chipset? I assume that would make it cheaper and simpler.

But I don't see the speed of PATA being a major issue since the processor also isn't all that fast.

Re: VGA output

The unit comes with a DVI connector; a DVI to VGA adaptor isn't too expnesive - you can get them for under $10. But an LCD monitor with DVI inputs should give better results. I haven't been able to find a cheap LCD with a DVI input. I'm hoping to find one for around $80; I can get a VGA only monitor...
