Fit-PC3 reliability

Hello!
Do someone have the Fit-PC3 MTBF (reliability) numbers?
Our customer needs it.

Thanks

Re: Switching down Ethernet PHY on startup

Thanks a lot!!
I'd like to get this BIOS (together with the BIOS flashing instructions) to test this feature.

If you prefer to not publish the beta BIOS on the public forum,
you can contact me by the mail: ilia@embedded-solutions.co.il

Thanks !
Ilia.

Switching down Ethernet PHY on startup

Hello! In our case we use the Fit-PC3 (model ‫‪fit-PC3-D2x2-T56N-WB-H320-XLM-FMC‬‬ - with 4 Gigabit Ethernet ports on the FACE module) as a network device. We need the FACE module Ethernet ports - those based on the Intel 82583V chips - to be in the PHY OFF state after power ON or Reset all the time...

Re: Coming fully back up after power loss

The problem does not reproduces right now :( It looks that no amount of waiting in power-off causes by itself the FitPC3 to not start on power on. The "AC Loss control setting" BIOS parameter is and always was in "Power ON" state. Do you have some insight on the FitPC3' power regulator - i.e. can yo...

Re: Coming fully back up after power loss

"Please disconnect all the attached devices to the FitPC3 and try to power cycle the FitPC3." :o The FitPC3 in question will be used in an unattended setup - in some basement / closed compartment etc. No people are expected to be here. Not even close. All control is through the network only . What c...

Re: Coming fully back up after power loss

I acessed this parameter and it was configured as Power ON by default!
So thanks for the help, but the problem (the Fit-PC3 seldom does not starts on power-on) still here

B.T.W.
The parameter in question is located in the BIOS menu under AMD | Chipset Settings.

Re: Coming fully back up after power loss

Unfortunately, I observerd exactly the same bad behaviour, i.e. no automatic startup after the power loss on the brand new fit-PC3 supplied this month. What's interesting, the machine starts OK after the power supply was yanked from the wall for a minute or so, but stuck OFF after about 2hour power ...

Re: VGA (or lack thereof)

Our customer wants to connect the Fit-PC3 video to the KVM switch they have. Unfortunately, this switch supports only the VGA(analog) video input from the PC - not any kind of digital input the Fit-PC3 provides. Can you suggest some solution for this? I.e. some digital to analog conversion dongle wh...

Re: custom kernel

Looks as the problem is solved (OK, sort of) I found that the device rt3090, for which the firmware file was lacking, is the WiFi chip (of Realtek, AFAIK). As my machine has no WiFi, I just disabled the WiFi in the kernel config (changed it from "M" to none) and the kernel was successfully built. In...
