Re: Wake on USB?
I plugged the IR receiver into the USB 2.0 port and it is correctly waking the computer now! Thanks for the help. I've got a pretty sweet setup with the fit-PC3 now. I have Windows 7 Pro running Windows Media Center. I have a Silicon Dust HDHomerun Prime with a CableCARD tuner so I get digital cable...

Re: Wake on USB?
The device is allowed to wake the computer. I'm not sure if I was using USB 2 or 3, however. I'll test again in USB2 when I get a chance and will post the result. Thanks.

Wake on USB?
Since the built-in IR receiver isn't currently working I have plugged in an Ortek VRC-1100 USB IR receiver. It is working correctly but I don't seem to be able to get it to wake the computer from sleep. From what I've read the BIOS needs to support wake on USB and I need to allow the device to wake ...

Replacement power supply
When I first attempted to power on my Fit-PC3 nothing happened. I eventually determined one of the contact points on the power supply that connects to the US adapter was bent. I was able to bend it back into place and the machine powered on successfully. I'm concerned, however, that it may eventuall...

Re: IR hardware / driver
I thought that IR was supposed to be supported with the production release. No big deal as long as I know it's coming. Thanks for the reply.

IR hardware / driver
I posted a similar inquiry under the Windows forum but haven't had any responses. Is the IR receiver active now that the product is out of pre-release? I don't see it listed at all in device manager--not sure if that's normal or not. If so, can you please provide information on the IR hardware. I'm ...

Re: Windows 7 media center digital cable
FYI: Unrelated to Fit-PC3 but it appears that the index/search function doesn't work in Windows 8 Consumer Preview 64-bit. I posed this question on a answers.microsoft.com and that was the response. I'm still waiting for confirmation that 32-bit works but the poster specifically indicated 64-bit so ...

Re: Windows 8
FWIW: I have installed the Windows 8 Consumer preview successfully on the Fit-PC3. Initially the WIFI didn't work but strangely it started working without any action from me other than connecting to a wired network. There was no notification that anything was updated or installed, it just started wo...

Using the infrared receiver with Windows Media Center
I am trying to use Windows Media Center on a Fit-PC3. Everything is working correctly but I don't know how to use the IR Receiver to control WMC. Specifically I have a Logitech Harmony remote control. I tried setting up a Media Center PC with Compulab as the manufacturer. Logitech had a Fit-PC2 in t...
