I did a trip into the Fit-PC2 BIOS.
Is it true that I cannot start a Fit-PC2 on a specific time e.g. 8 every morning?

Re: Random freezes until a keyboard button is pressed.
I blogged about my findings yesterday http://www.version2.dk/artikel/16711 With Ubuntu 9.10 (with the Compulab kernel) I often had load 5 - but after removing the C6 sleep from the BIOS I got significantly better response rates and much lower load - see http://www.version2.dk/modules/xphoto/cache/21...

Re: Random freezes until a keyboard button is pressed.
I have just hacked my BIOS and found HUGE improvement with Ubuntu Linux.
Irads - any further BIOS information would be nice. I suggest to make an overview in http://www.fit-pc2.com/wiki/index.php?t ... tware#BIOS

Irads, do you have an overview of the BIOS settings and recommented settings? It would be nice to know how some of these settings can be improved or which combinations should be avoided.

Re: Restart after power failure
I have one of the older Fit-PC2 boxes, which does not boot automagically on power-on cf. http://www.fit-pc2.com/wiki/index.php?title=Fit-PC2_FAQ "Starting from May-2010 fit-PC2 and fit-PC2i support 'auto-on'. Re: Ubuntu 9.10
How fast did the graphics appear?
There is quite a difference between the HW-accellerated drivers (for U9.04/8.10) and the Vesa driver

Re: Mandriva 2010 RC2 supports Poulsbo - Fit-PC2
I also have problems to find a way to transfer Mandriva to a USB stick. Most like this is somehow coupled to the fact that there is a Mandriva on USB stick product out there.
BTW; Compiz works very well on the Fit-PC2 with Mandriva
