I've checked the BIOS now and have it set to GV3 only as suggested.
Any tips on how to change the battery?

Re: FitPC has died
Looking over the other forum entries, I've tried toggling NUM LOCK and F2 to get to the BIOS screen. No response from the PC. There is clearly power in the Fit. When I plug in an external hard drive, its power light comes on. The keyboard also has power but no obvious connection. Plugging in a mouse...

FitPC has died
My new fitPC-3 has died. I have had it about a month and have been using it with my astronomy gear. I run it remotely over my Wifi network using VNC. Last night it powered up but then didn't show up on my wifi network. Nor would it show up if connected via ethernet. Thinking it was a network problem...

Power management and display
I took delivery of my new fitPC-3 this morning. Its a great little beast. Reading the manual, there is the following note: Working without a connected display automatically disables the graphics controller - saving power I have no desire to save power as my fit is plugged into 240V mains power. I us...

Re: My Fit-PC2 can't keep the time
I've not been able to check the Bios as I run my fit remotely using VNC ie no monitor or keyboard. I will check the status this week sometime. I do find it odd that this has started only recently. I have read that the CMOS battery may be the culprit though the RTC looks like it keeps very regular ti...

Re: My Fit-PC2 can't keep the time
I have the same issue I use my fitpc for astronomy and I need a very accurate clock. With ClockMon I can sync it every minute but that still leaves me up to 5 seconds out at any time which presents problems. I have tried the register/unregister routine suggested to no avail. Surely there is some oth...

Re: Open GL2.0
OK - I have realised the error of my ways. The drivers were downloaded but need to be configured. This is where I could do with some suggestions. I am running the Fit headless, accessing it with RealVNC. I'm not sure what configuration or package to use. Nor do I know whether to select VBIOS or Wind...

Re: Open GL2.0
Thanks but no joy there - I downloaded the driver and installed it successfully but without any change. Is there some way to stop the graphics accelerator defaulting to the most basic setting? I also ran the driver update feature on the Intel website - but it was unable to identify any driver suitab...

Open GL2.0
I've recently purchased a Fit-PC2i running Windows 7. I use it for running all my astronomy gear. My planetarium program requires Open GL 2.0. The default driver only accomodates Open GL 1.1. I can't locate an updated driver anywhere Do I need to roll back to XP (and try and find an old version some...
