Looks very interesting!
Will it support HW decoding of MPEG2 video (doesn't seem to be mentioned in the specs)?
Will it support HDMI-CEC (without an external adapter)?
Thank you.

Re: second hdd possible at fit-pc2i?
It's not the cable that allowed to use two IDE devices on one port, it's the IDE interface itself that was designed for up to two devices. With SATA this is not the case. The "special adapter" you probably have in mind is called SATA port multiplier. It is not very cheap, not very small and not very...

I have been using the stock r8169 driver for a few months, first with kernel 3.0, now with 3.1, without any problems. I haven't tried VLAN though.

Re: Watchdog Timer on FitPC2i
I'm surprised. I have been using stock sbc_fitpc2_wdt on fit-PC2i for quite a while without any modifications and without any problems. Are you using some ancient kernel version?

Do you mind sharing which type of SSD it is?
Re: no sound
I don't think the pin configuration set by BIOS would help you, because it is simply wrong (at least it was in my case, with the latest available BIOS version). See this thread for more details: http://www.fit-pc.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=32&t=2420 . Although that thread is mostly about Linux, you m...

Re: Are you happy with the "speed" of your fit pc 2?
I'm using my fit-PC2i as a server/router, so can't really compare it to a desctop PC. But I also have an Acer AO751h netbook, which has practically the same hardware as fit-PC2. It runs Windows XP and it is fast enough for the majority of typical tasks. One thing it is not fast enough for is playing...

Re: Fit-PC2i audio codec pin configuration
Thank you. The schematic clarifies a lot. With its help and a bit of experimenting I have come up with what I believe to be the correct pin configuration. Fortunately, no code changes in Linux are necessary. The pin configuration can be "fixed" as follows. 1. The kernel should be built with "CONFIG_...

Re: No access to BIOS
Depending on your monitor, it may be too late to press F2 when you get video. Try pressing it much earlier and multiple times to be sure. Usually when the keyboard is reset you can see all its LEDs blinking simultaneously once. That should be your sign to begin pressing F2.

Re: Both analog and digital output with one adapter ?
Note that similar cables that come with digital camcorders (and often also sold separately) usually have different pinout, incompatible with fit-PC2i.
