Re: fit-pc2i fails to boot, no video, power light is on
Eventually the problem was caused by the CMOS battery. I would like to thanks a lot for the excellent out-of-warranty service that compulab provided. In case, somebody has a similar problem, I would suggest to buy a new battery rather than sending it to Israel, because the import/export taxes + ship...

Thanks for the proposal, but charging it does not do the job.
I am in touch with the RMA team to resolve the problem.

Re: fit-pc2i fails to boot, no video, power light is on
Thanks for the reply, eventually I managed to boot the fit-pc successfully with default BIOS configuration. Unfortunately, the previously described problem appeared again after the fit-pc was disconnected from the power grid for a few days. It looks to me that the on-board battery is defected. So, i...

fit-pc2i fails to boot, no video, power light is on
Hi guys, I notice that after pressing the power button, the power green light indicate that fitpc2i (fit-PC2-D2G-C1600-W with WIFI) is on but I did not get any video signal to the monitor, no indication that the keyboard is detected and the Mint OS does not boot. A few days ago, there was a power-sh...

Power & Temperature
Hello guys,
nice to hear that you are going to release a high-performance Intel machine.
I am curious to know what will be the power consumption range of the Intense devices.
And... I am also curious about the normal operational temperatures. Are they close to the once from the fit-pc2 2GHz?

Re: Linux performance and AMD
May I kindly ask you to upload a showcase video of the fit-pc3 running Ubuntu/ Mint that clearly shows the maximum performance that you can squizze from it? The showcase might include HD video encoding, web browsing, etc. I hope that it is not going to have the choppy GUI experience that I currently...

Re: Linux performance and AMD
Hello all,
I am also looking to buy the new fit-pc3.
May I ask the fit-pc engineers to make a simple test with the vimeo & youtube HD videos (720 /1080) in adobe format running on Mint /Ubuntu with Firefox /Chrome?

Re: my FitPC2i died :(
Thanks for the fast reply. Eventually, the fit-pc is working fine. The problem was that it gets stalled during the loading of the grub. Initially I have connected the fit-pc to a monitor through a VGA port using this: http://www.dealextreme.com/p/dvi-to-vga-adapter-dongle-m-to-f-8312 but it seems th...

my FitPC2i died :(
Hello guys, I have FitPC2i running Ubuntu 11.04 and 2 days ago I typed "sudo halt". The command powered down the machine successfully. Then I press the power button and it did not even reach the stage to boot the OS. The LED which indicated HDD activity just blink twice and that was it. The external...
