Disable WiFi on fitpc-2i

The easiest way to disable the wifi is by:

sudo rfkill block wifi
to enable it use:

Code: Select all

sudo rfkill unblock wifi
If you want to disable WiFi during boot, create a startup script which you need to place in \etc\init.d.

I have just rebooted with the original Ubuntu 11.04 (I am not using the fit-pc Ubuntu version!)

and everything except the gnome-volume-control works fine.

I tried to install the mplayer-vaapi from source, as suggested here:
