Re: OpenSuse Shutdown -r now fails?

Hi Is that something that may eventually be changed in the future because we only use Linux on these PCs? If I set the OS to Windows but actually run Linux will the reboot work? Would this cause other issues because the BIOS would not be accurately reflecting the OS that is actually running? Thanks,...

Re: OpenSuse Shutdown -r now fails?

Hi

It turns out that if you change the BIOS operating system setting to Windows then the reboot function works. If you set the BIOS to Linux then the reboot does not work.

Re: OpenSuse Shutdown -r now fails?

Hi

We have tried reboot, systemctl reboot, init 6, shutdown -r now etc. and none of the options reboot the computer. The PC just seems to enter a halt state.

Re: OpenSuse Shutdown -r now fails?

I look forward to hearing the result. We require this feature because we use the Fitlet2 with equipment in remote locations so the ability to reboot or shutdown the PC remotely is important for us.

Thanks,

OpenSuse Shutdown -r now fails?

Hi

When I use the Linux "shutdown -r now" the computer does not reboot. It simply logs out and displays a blank screen with the word "Fitlet". I am running OpenSuse 15.3 on a new FiteLet2 PC. Is there a method to ensure the PC can be rebooted/shutdown from the Linux console?

Thanks,
Simon

How to prevent USB ports going into Sleep Mode?

Hi

Under Linux I would like to ensure that nothing goes into sleep mode. I want to ensure the USB ports are always active and the same for the hard disk, screen and keyboard. So I would like to know the correct method to accomplish this under Linux (OpenSuse 15.2 specifically).

Thanks,
Simon

No Sound in Windows 7 Pro

I connected my Fit-PCi to my Panasonic TV I have video but no sound. Windows 7 has identified the sound device as a Digital SPDIF and when I play a sound I get a buzzing sound on the TV. The panasonic TV is configured to accept sound from a component and I plugged the SPDIF cable into the RCA connec...

More Serial Ports on Fit-PCi

Hi We use the Fit-PCi to interface with industrial equipment and one true serial port is not enough. Converting USB to serial is possible but not 100% reliable so I would like to see 3-4 true serial ports on the Fit-PCi. We are using Windows 8 on the Fit-PCi and it works very well and 4 true serial ...

Re: No Video

Hi The monitor is an LG L203WTN with a DVI-D cable which is currently working on my workstation. I just connected the LG DVI-D cable into the HDMI/DVI-D adapter that came with the Fit-PC and plugged it into the HDMI port of the Fit-PC. So I know the monitor works. So it has to be either the HDMI/DVI...
