Re: 2.5" SATA II SSD work?

Re: HDD x2?

Many users reported that when you overclock, LAN stops working. I really hope that in your copy of Fit-PC2 it will not happen, otherwise overclock would be pointless for you. For the custom chassis, I can suggest you a broken internal PC power supply. Take out all the power switching circuitry and y...

Re: IDE and SATA to USB adapter

You once mentioned the same issue when you tried Ubuntu: http://www.fit-pc2.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=2034
Did you solve it eventually for Ubuntu and/or did you apply the solution on Mint?

Very nice, although I would try to find a better power supply - I am afraid the hard disks could be damaged because their spin-up current is higher than the max. current your adapter can provide...

Re: IDE and SATA to USB adapter

Fit-PC2/i has issues with certain SSD disks. This is likely to be a problem with Fit-PC2 BIOS and not the SSD itself. Can you post the SSD name/specification? Or are you talking about the 4GB flash soldered on board?

Re: How to install the BIOS update on Ubuntu

This is the correct tool, but where do you see "Save Image" button?
I cannot find it: http://people.canonical.com/~ogra/ImageWriter/

Re: How to install the BIOS update on Ubuntu

What "Image Writer" exactly are you using? Can you please post a link? Maybe you need to start "Image Writer" as "root", I don't know.

But I think that much easier for you would be to do that in Windows. Do you have a Windows machine around to create the USB stick there?

Re: How to install the BIOS update on Ubuntu

"128MBDOS.IMG" is inside "bios_update.zip" - you need to UNZIP it.

Re: IDE and SATA to USB adapter

Try "mkdir /mnt/usbdisk" and then try the "mount" command again. If it still does not work, please post here the command as you've written it, and the output.
