When I was playing some audio files cpu was 80% idle and 45000kb of ram was free.

I did the following:

Code: Select all

sudo apt-get autoremove pulseaudio && sudo reboot
and now everything (audio& video playback) seems to work fine. So the problem seems to be a problem with pulseaudio.
Maybe one can tune it?

I solved the problem.

I added my user to the audio group (gid 29), then it worked. Don't know why it changed ...

After updating linux kernel to the latest version offered by fitpc there is no sound anymore.
