Re: Native Linux Graphics Support (i.e. no more GMA500 madne
I'm really hoping for a successor with a Valleyview/Bay Trail/Silvermont/Z3700 or however the heck Intel calls it this week. That would give us x86-64 instruction set, Ivy Bridge graphics, hopefully in a 2-3W power dissipation (the FitPC2 does run a little hotter then I would like). Then with a/b/g/...

Re: EMGD 1.16 driver on Linux Mint 13 MATE
ftoth: I should think it will crash / not work if you use that option. It did in the past. The option is already used in the auto-generated xorg.conf (for the downgraded xorg). I don't see why... BTW 1 - the kernel module builds nicely with linux-3.5 from quantal 2 - the dkms module still has an ol...

Re: EMGD 1.16 driver on Linux Mint 13 MATE
Really? Then I'm going to install kernel 3.5 again. EMGD 1.14 didn't build with 3.5, causing dkms to fail so I removed it. And do we need to downgrade X? I noticed Option "IgnoreABI" "true" (don't know what that does). On Kubuntu Quantal you can start either kwin or kwin_gl. _gl seems to be working ...

Re: EMGD 1.16 driver on Linux Mint 13 MATE
Very nice! I was just preparing a walk-through on how to get Kubuntu Quantal to run with EMGD. This involves the same steps of course, but additionally requires to install a downgraded kernel (3.2). Question: where did you get the EMGD 1.16 sources from? I'd like to see if Jools Wills can build them...

Re: S/PDIF no sound with Kubuntu 10.10
Well it seem the fitpc2 works well, apparently my tv is no accepting the s/pdif signal, which is possibly a configuration problem on that end.
I've got the analog out to be accepted, that's fine for now.

Re: Restart does not work
Yes, the problem is caused by the wlan driver. There is a thread on ubuntu:

Hello, Has anyone tried to install the above wlan a/b/g/n dual band card? Or is there any chance that the fit-pc will come with this or such a card soon? I think this will be needed if you have HD video streams. I am not sure but believe you need 3 antennas? Anyway see http://www.intel.com/network/c...
