Re: Hardware Video Acceleration - working with Ubuntu / Mint
Ah, I would but the file is like 9gb. (^_^); When I get back from work, I'll try to find a smaller 1080p file I can reproduce the issue with. Saving that, I might be able to print out the video specs in case anything blatant stands out. After playing around with it a bit more yesterday, I think the ...

Hardware Video Acceleration - working with Ubuntu / Mint?
Hi Everyone, Following the install guide (http://www.fit-pc.com/wiki/index.php/Fitlet:_Installing_Linux_Mint_17) I was able to get Mint working. However, I noted that while the page recommends VLC and Kodi for Video Acceleration, performance is kind of sketchy for 1080p playback with Kodi. VLC seems...

Is the fitlet powerfull enough to do h264 10-bit (Hi10P)?
Hi Everyone,
Does anyone know if the fitlet is powerful enough to do h264 10-bit (Hi10P) or h265 (HEVC) playback? How about 4k Playback?

Re: Turbo Boost: Possible to always run at full speed?
Ah I see. In the case of performance, would you recommend a Fit-PC4 Pro instead? I assume given the larger size and grill-like design, even at full load it has no problem with removing heat / avoiding throttling?

Re: Turbo Boost: Possible to always run at full speed?
Thanks for the reply! Is there any rule of thumb guides that people know from experience with using the product? Such as, as long as you keep ambient temprature below some number, you never need to worry about throttling? I'm just kind of wondering how much of a problem this would be. Is it a very c...

Turbo Boost: Possible to always run at full speed?
Hi, For the Fitlet computers, is it possible in the bios to disable turbo boost so that your always running your fitlet at the fastest possible processor speed? Or will the system simply get too hot to run at full speed and start throttling down or something? Or maybe it's not even possible to disab...

Re: Recommend Hard Drive
Do the newer drives that are slightly thicker than 9.5mm still fit in the FIT-PC2, or is it too tight of a squeeze?

Fit-PC2 + 1TB 2.5" Western Digital HD = Possible?
Hey Everyone,
I know manufactures like Western Digital now have laptop HD's in the 750GB to 1TB range, but for those drives the thickness is slightly greater. Will those kinds of drives be able to fit within the case of a FIT-PC2? Or will it be too fat to go in?

FIT-PC heat sink - Avaliable anywhere?
Hi Everyone,
Does anyone know of a place outside of Amazon.com where you can order the FIT-PC heat sink? Perhaps direct from FIT-PC? I've looked all over and I can't find anything, but it would be a neat item to have just for piece of mind.
