Re: Ubuntu Server 10.04 LTS fit-pc2i iso for HD install

I installed an Ubuntu 10.04 LTS Server edition on a FitPC2i rev 1.2 three months ago, from the standard Ubuntu ISO. I'm not using any specific apt repository. Everything works fine, there is no instabilities whatsoever, and installation process through a USB thumb drive was as easy as it could be. I...

Re: Install OS via Serial port on Fit-PC2i v1.2

As far as I know, the fit-pc cannot boot on the SD card. The Fit-PC2i v1.2 (newest revision) supports booting from SDHC according to the wiki: http://www.fit-pc2.com/wiki/index.php?title=Fit-PC2i_Revisions Oh, right, I didn't know that. Anyway you can't install the OS directly on the fit-pc if you ...

Re: Install OS via Serial port on Fit-PC2i v1.2

As far as I know, the fit-pc cannot boot on the SD card. Anyway you can't install the OS directly on the fit-pc if you have neither a display nor a keyboard. If I were you i'd try to do it as I explained in my previous answer : install it on the hard drive in another computer, then put the hard-driv...

Re: Install OS via Serial port on Fit-PC2i v1.2

Maybe it is possible to get the hard disk out of the fit-pc, to install it into another computer, to install your OS on it and then only to put it back into the fit-pc. That was one option i was considering, because it could help me avoid buying a fit-vga converter, could someone tell us if it is po...

Re: Setup for Web Server

To install everything you need for your web server, just apt-get install or aptitude install the needed packages. However, you might want to reinstall the distro to get a "server" distro instead of the "desktop" one that it is shipped with. You can also simple remove unnecessary packages (everything...

Re: Ubuntu Server 10.04 LTS fit-pc2i iso image available

Can you tell me what's different about the FitPC2 image from the stock Ubuntu 10.04 LTS Server installation? Can't I just install the stock one and make any required changes? (Provided, of course, that I can get a list of the changes!) Having to wait for some volunteer to update a custom compiled k...

fit-PC2i availability on amazon.fr

Hi, I'm trying to buy a fit-pc2i rev. 1.2 (i need wake on lan and auto-on), with fit-vga adaptator (i have no dvi or hdmi screen/tv) and probably heat-sink. I'm in France and the only reseller proposing affordable deals seems to be amazon.fr (VAT is already included in their prices and there is no s...
