Fit-PC2i + Ubuntu 8.04 + sound. Need some help
This post has been migrated from this thread in order to get a more suitable topic. So... my graphics issues seem to be solved... The next problem is to get sound. Have tried sooooo many things found on the internet, but I have no idea how to get this running. Does anyone have any ideas? I'd be very...

So... my graphics issues seem to be solved. The next problem is to get sound. Have tried sooooo many things found on the internet, but I have no idea how to get this running. Does anyone have any ideas? I'd be very happy if I could get any sound on the analog output. Hard to get a grip of how things...

Re: Fit-PC2i + Ubuntu 8.04 (or any other distro)drives me in
Yep. No black screen but very poor graphics performance. Last thing I tried was to download an original Ubuntu 8.04 iso image, and install it from a USB flash drive. I followed instructions found in a thread in this forum and now it seems to be working. Have not had time to verify everything, but gr...

Fit-PC2i + Ubuntu 8.04 (or any other distro)drives me insane
Hi About one year ago I bought a Fit-PC2i for use with a large flat screen, showing information to our employees. I installed Ubuntu 8.04 using the recovery image found here . Now I have bought another three Fit-PC2i, and have been struggling for two days to get the graphics to work. This is driving...

Re: Boot without monitor
I have a 40" full HD LCD screen (have been using it at 1080p before), and have tried every resolution and refresh rate available. Nothing works.
Also, with the GMA driver, I could use almost any resolution.
This is not a problem with the monitor.

Re: Boot without monitor
I have properly uninstalled the GMA driver, and installed the IEGD version. There is only one resolution available in the basic settings, but in the advanced settings there are a lot of resolutions. If I select another resolution and lick apply, the screen goes black for a couple of seconds, and the...

Installed the IEGD driver. The computer now boots without monitor.

Is there a solution for that issue too?

Re: Boot without monitor
Ahh, very informative.
The only drawback is that Iwant to use the FitPC as a media player too.
Will try the IEGD driver. Proper booting is higher priority.
