Re: Mint 13 + fitpc2i rev1.1: HDD not recognized

Hi Denis -
I tried installing both Ubuntu 14.04.6 LTS Server 32-bit, and Ubuntu 16.04.6 LTS Server 32-bit versions.

16 did not work at all (screen is blank)

14 threw me out to at least a shell so I could see the error. See attached (literal) screenshot.

Re: Mint 13 + fitpc2i rev1.1: HDD not recognized

Greetings - I am trying to install Mint 13 as recommended, and it appears I seem to have the same problem as matthias, as I have an older 4GB NAND version of the fit-pc2i (SN: 100315-202) Issue is that i cannot install Mint 13 32bit to the 4GB NAND as Mint 13 requires 5.7GB (not sure how matthias di...

Re: Audible humming / ticking in fit-PC3

I second the motion that the circuit design should be changed to remove the humming/ticking sounds. This is unwarranted, given that previous generations (fitpc2/2i, fitpc original, slim, etc) did not have this issue. Sitting close (<1m) away, this becomes very annoying and defeats the true purpose o...

Re: Full HD 1080

Now that XP version of fit-PC2 is discontinued (as of 3OCT2010) the following link no longer works... http://www.fit-pc.com/web/fit-pc2/fit-pc2-models/fit-pc2-xp-hd/ This means the Cyberlink OEM codec package that shipped with the XP-HD edition are also no longer available, or for sale from fit-PC2 ...

Re: teaming the dual nics on a fit-pc2i

thanks irads,

Did some more research: the term is called "bonding" not "teaming" in the linux world for some reason. Here's how to do it, for anyone who is interested:

teaming the dual nics on a fit-pc2i

I'm looking to team (not bridge) the two 1G ethernet nics in the Fit-PC2i together to boost my bandwidth on my local LAN to access an already teamed NAS box. I have a Netgear GS116 Gbit switch. What is the exact realtek nic hardware being used and does it (ie. the driver) support teaming? I would pr...
