Because you are not using LVM the fstab has /dev/hdX in it - simply boot the old kernel and change the file to refer to /dev/sdX

I have the fit-pc2 that yogev_ezra sent me (it arrived this morning)

I am just installing CentOS 5.4 on it now (and I see why your all complaining - it is painfully slow)

I will start to work on it right away - no timeline as yet but will let you all know asap.
