Re: Ubuntu 10.04 with psb driver WORKS!

The display was a samsung TV (LE32A436T1D) it was connected by HDMI It worked fine when it was using the default generic drivers just the psb driver which seems to have the issue with it. Ive also used a range of systems with that TV before with no issue. Its now connected to a Samsung SyncMaster 91...

Re: Ubuntu 10.04 with psb driver WORKS!

Ive found the problem, it was the monitor, plugged in a different monitor and it works.

the psb driver must not like that monitor or atleast it dosent like the response from it when it tries to detect the resolution.

thanks for your help.

Re: ACPI Kernel issue

Thanks! that worked great :D

Will there be any disadvantage to having C-States disabled?
From what ive read power consumption seems to be the main reason for C-States but with the fitpc2 its not really something that needs lowered much more.

ACPI Kernel issue

Does the build of Ubuntu in the recovery image contain any special patches in the kernel? I have put on the latest kernel 2.6.29 first just the default settings. I found that when downloading data (scp or wget) the whole system would just stop, at first i thought it was just the network interface as...

How Hot?

How hot should we be expecting the case to get during normal operation? If i leave mine just in the bios for 15mins the case is too hot to touch (makes it a pain to try a disconnect a usb lead) I have used a few atom based netbooks and they ran very cool. I understand the case is the heatsink but is...

Re: Just got it

Under windows 7 i had an issue using hdmi to a tv, the intel graphics driver seems to default to dual monitors, this in turn greatly reduces the range of resolutions supported and the highest would not display a picture on my tv. If you change the display option to digital display in the intel contr...

Re: Problems installing W7 and XP

In the bios on the last page where you can reset the bios to defaults etc, the very last option (cant remember what its called) it resets hardware info, try that,
I had to use that before i could get windows 7 to install at all.
