Re: fit PC2i Wireless Access Point in Linux?
True they introduced new hardware support in 2.6.33. However my fit-pc2 wireless worked with older Arch Linux kernel (2.6.31 or so) already. Didn't try AP, don't need it, but found a link for you that's maybe helpful: http://rt2x00.serialmonkey.com/wiki/index.php/AP-mode_Howto Cool - thanks!! Michael

Re: fit PC2i Wireless Access Point in Linux?
Awesome - thank you!
Have you gotten rt3090 to work in master mode?
According to wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/comparison ... ss_drivers), rt2x00 support will be in the kernel as of 2.6.33. Very cool.

Re: fit PC2i Wireless Access Point in Linux?
I can't figure out if RT3070 uses its own driver or if it's supported in RT2x00. Does anybody know?

Re: fit PC2i Wireless Access Point in Linux?
Okay, reading the forum more carefully tells me that most models of the fit PC2 come with the Realtek RT3090 card.
Does the fit PC2i also come with the RT3090?

Re: fit PC2i Wireless Access Point in Linux?
Bump.
If the wireless card in the fit-pc2i can not be used as an access point, can I replace its wireless card with one that does?
Am I better off ordering a fit-pc2 instead and installing my own wireless card?

fit PC2i Wireless Access Point in Linux?
I realize that this has been asked a lot over the board, but I'm confused about which chip is in which fit-pc2 model. What is the wireless chip in fit-pc2i? Can it do "master mode"? Can it be made into a wireless access point under linux? I gather that the fit-pc2 with wifi module cannot do this, bu...
