I have a problem where my FitPC2 (under ubuntu 9.10 desktop AND ubuntu 10.04 server) where it just freezes. How to tell if I have proper video installed?
How can I tell if I succesfully installed mplayer WITH vaadi (something like that) and tell if I'm using the proper driver (I'm using 9.10). I followed your advice and upgraded to 9.10 and installed as per instructions. The good news is it can play video now, and run boxee and elisa (well enough), but no HD really. If I reinstall 8.04 just like in the instructions I will get HD playback? I don't expect perfect, I just expect it to be abl...

I am very new to linux, and I wanted to make the computer an HTPC, but whenever I try to run HD video it doesn't even come close...
