Hi, I bought a fit-PC2i in February, and now the hard drive in it is dead (I tested it with another machine just to be sure).

How do I go about doing a warranty claim for this? Do I contact compulab or Hitachi (the manufacturer of this particular hard drive).

It's still a problem for people with the pilot run of fit-PC2i machines, so having the support in the vanilla kernel is still desirable (unless this can be fixed in BIOS?).

Would you have any objections to someone else sending this patch upstream?

Hi, I have Gentoo installed on my new fit-PC2i, everything seems to be working so far, but I have no sound. I have all my mixers unmuted and at 100%, but I don't hear anything when I play something. Do I need any options to the snd-hda-intel driver when I load? I am trying to use analog, not SPDIF. ...

Hi, I just got my fit-pc2i and I am trying to install gentoo on it, but I can't seem to get any livecd to recognize the hard drive, both the gentoo minimal CD and the Ubuntu 9.10 livecd's only see the internal flash, but not the HDD. The copy of Ubuntu that came on the hard drive seems to work alrig...
