Re: Alternate uses for heat.
that's a fair point. I shall conduct some experiments later
I think the top of the fit-pc2 doesn't help much, it isn't ecaxtly designed to help disipate heat nor does it have a flat surface:/
I use an SSD so could over clock it to make it warmer and still not worry about it dying

Re: fitpc2 with 10.10?
isn't there a fit-pc2 kernel though? shouldn't that work ok? what doesn't work in 10.10. I should imagine 1080 video won't, but that's not a problem for me, how well does compiz work. I wouldn't mind not having the cube, but being able to scroll all th way round my desktop's without having do go fro...

Alternate uses for heat.
This thread is for people to give alternate uses for the heat that is produced. heat sink's are all well and good but they are a bit wasteful. Ideas. 1) coffee/tea warmer. instead of buying a usb heater, just use the fit -pc, I haven't added anything special to it so surface area is a bit off ("fit ...

The Linux Kernel
I use ubuntu 9.10 on my fit-pc2 with the fit-pc kernel, does this kernel get updated? i saw this http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/d0od/~3/ypy9w8i5ADU/ and expect it to be about in the Linux 2.6.38 kernel (http://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page=article&item=linux_2637_video&num=2). so my question is, do...
