Same thing with sudo aplay -l
Hardware video acceleration seems to work, so it should not be a hardware problem, but all the error messages say that they do not find the audio device.

I did the whole ubuntu installation again, but I have still no sound : aplay -l

I checked that AUDIO is not disabled in the bios.

Sorry for all these days of silence, I've been busy with something else. You're right, I forgot to comment out the line you mentioned. I did it, but it did not solve my problem completely. "sudo modprobe -v snd-hda-intel" does not say anything now but "aplay -l" still says aplay: device_list:223: no...
