Re: Ubuntu 9.10 display driver explanation
The UNR driver will probably make your display flicker in 1600x1200 resolution.

Please help me make it play 1080p content
Hello folks, I need your help on this one. The purpose of my Fit-PC2 is to play HD content. I tried several options so far with mild success: * First I tried the preinstalled Ubuntu 8.04. I figured that it had some minor issues and I was not 100% convinced by the smoothness of the trailer samples I ...

Re: fit PC2i Wireless Access Point in Linux?
RT2x00 these days both support the 3070 and the 3090 and it works with my 3090 (fit-pc2). Support for both was introduced in one and the same patch.

Re: How to tell if I have proper video installed?
You have to run with options. Either it will complain (wrong version/binary) or it will play and then you will see some vaapi messages that tell you whether it works or not..
utility may also tell you if libva was properly installed.

Re: Flash 10.1 beta 3 with intel 2020 driver
With intel driver 2023, I see that the CPU usage does not crank up to 100%, however it is still not playing smoothly, at least not the HD versions. I *assume* however, that this would not be achievable without hardware acceleration.

Waiting for your DIY guide! It seems to be fairly easy to do it, but would be interesting in how to route the cable etc.

Re: flicker on high resolution
Thank you for trying to help! mplayer segfaults in audio module. If I use -ao null, it segfaults in video module. In either situations it will fallback to software video from that one until reboot. It's not the only problem... Some videos are not played on full framerate in difficult scenes. 720p vi...

Re: flicker on high resolution
Is there any other solution for this?! Ubuntu 9.10 (fitpc repository) works really bad on my fit-pc2. Scrolling etc. is bad. Graphical artifacts like black regions occur regularly. Accelerated video playback is bad and crashes after ~ 30 seconds of playing, so that the machine has to be rebooted to ...

Re: Video - green line
I have a green line with some videos, too (720p). Worst of it all, it crashes all the time.
Apart from that you may try to mangle with aspect ratio on the software side. mplayer at least has monitoraspect setting. Don't know if it makes it through va-api patches though.
